The Red & White Course is nestled in the trees native to this picturesque area. It is a par 71, 6,062 yard course, with four par 5s and five par 3s, one of which is 245 yards. Several beautiful ponds and streams come into play on about a third of the holes on the course. The first three holes are believed to have been the sight of an Indian reservation where a lot of the arrowheads were found. Several holes on the course are considered to be some of the best holes in Berks County and surrounding areas.
Hole #16
If you like a challenge, you must play the 16th hole which is quite unique. The difficulty other than placing your first shot, is in the approach to and putting of the green. The approach involves carrying the ball over a valley and a steep side hill up to a severely elevated green. The putting difficulty comes in as a result of the slope of the green. The slope is 3 feet 10 inches from the right rear to the left front of the green. The slope from the right front to the left front is 1 foot. Hence, the difficulty in reading and putting. Plumb-bobbing will tell you the degree of slope - trust it.
